INTERNATIONAL DAY OF GIRL-CHILD 2021: DR. BOLARINWA MICHAEL OMOTOSHO APPEALS TO ALL STAKEHOLDERS TO ENCOURAGE GIRLS’ PARTICIPATION IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) EDUCATION.

All stakeholders from various walks of life, including pastors of various denominations, public employees, youth workers, professionals, accountants, school principals and teachers, etc., attended the “Be An Author” training. The participants shared their experience and praised the organizer for providing a life-changing and informative book writing workshop.

According to a press statement by Dr. Bolarinwa Michael Omotosho, president of Anchor International Outreach ministry, at the venue of the training which took place on Saturday, October 10, 2021 on the camps of West Africa Theological Seminary, Ipaja, Lagos.

Omotosho encourages participants to take action after the training by writing books that will solve various problems in the country. He further spoke on the International Day of the Girl (11 October). He made a call to action for radical social and political change to tear down barriers of discrimination and prejudice that continue to hold girls back in our society.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Omotosho expressed his displeasure at the alarming rate of different kinds of abuse faced by girls in Nigeria. He stated that Anchor International Care and Humanitarian Initiative, an arm of the Anchor International Outreach ministry, will host the Leading the Next-Generation Leaders Mega Youth Summit, 2021 to commemorate International Day of the Girl. Tagged: “I am Forever Precious” on Saturday 18th, December 2021.
According to the press statement, the summit is aimed at a multicultural, intergenerational, interdenominational, and interdisciplinary event where boys and girls will interact, share their challenges, and call for action towards youth participation in good governance, unemployment, gender equality, misuse of the internet, pornography, rape, sexual exploitation, and trafficking of teens and young people. He said further that participants will be mainly young people and he expects leaders, influencers, religious leaders, political figures, institutions, organizations, and the media to support Anchor International Care and Humanitarian Initiative to mobilize and sponsor this landmark upcoming summit.
