INTRODUCTION
The proposed National Alliance summit is identified as “I am Forever Precious,” which implies that every individual is unique,whether able-bodied or physically challenged, teens or young people must be loved, treasured, and valued as a previous being!No one must be abused, humiliated, dehumanized, exploited, lured, raped, sold, bought, or transported.
I am Forever Precious Campaign! It is a Rise Up Campaign and taking the fight to the grassroots by Anchor International Care & Humanitarian Initiative, a Lagos State-based non-governmental (NGO) and non-profit-making organization incorporated in 2006. An arm of Anchor International Outreach ministry! It is an effort aimed at collaborating with all functionaries’ agencies, NGOS, religious organizations, schools, private organizations, community heads, parents and individuals to combat child abuse, rape, sex for grade, prostitution and trafficking of youths in Nigeria.
Anchor International Care & Humanitarian Initiative is comprised of everyday folks who have come together with one vision: To combat the use of pornography, child abuse, rape, sex for grades, prostitution, and youth trafficking. It has a fourfold Es’ ideology to enlighten, educate, empower, and equip people about the pervasive problem of teens and youth social vices globally. It is a communal action to combat the menace and promote purity, self-worth, and dignity among young people.
Our mission: This is to build a bridge between government, businesses, faith-based organizations, community organizations, religion organization and the residents of all neighborhoods, to educate and raise awareness about what it takes to end the use of pornography, child abuse, rape, sex for grades, prostitution and youth trafficking.
It is an independent non-denominational and non-governmental Zero Tolerance campaign and strategic event aimed at stopping the use of pornography, child abuse, rape, sex for grades, prostitution and youth trafficking in Nigeria. However, to establish that no matter our status, we are we must acknowledge that everyone is Forever Previous! The strategy to be employed for this campaign is to request that interested teens and youths who will be participating in the summit also apply to showcase their art work as a campaigning instrument against the menace, as well as five-minute live music performances to be presented by selected teens and youths to campaign against the menace.
Art Exhibition: The art exhibition will enhance the involvement of the participants who showcasea symbolic identity of different faces and cases of use of pornography, child abuse, rape, sex for grades, prostitution and youth trafficking through art work. All of the displayed art work will showcase how perpetrators tamper with the rights of people in their community, so that the participants will go back and prevent all of these acts.
Participants will visit the exhibitor tables and find out how young people and teens have become victims of child abuse, rape, sex for grades, prostitution, youth trafficking, and use of pornography. The exhibitors at the Summit will showcase their talents and aim to enhance participants’ experiences.
Talent Hunts through Songs: The Talent Hunts through songs will enhance the involvement of the participants to showcasea symbolic identity of different faces and cases of use of pornography, child abuse, rape, sex for grades, prostitution, and youth trafficking through live song performance at the summit. All of the songs performed will showcase how perpetrators tamper with the rights of people in their community, therefore, so that the participants will go back and prevent all of these acts. This will help to more enlighten, educate, equip and empower communities to:
- Know the danger of child abuse.
- Know the effects of rape.
- Know what trafficking is and how to identify it.
- Understand how to react to rape, child abuse, and youth trafficking.
- Know how to respond to the use of pornography.
- Understand how to respond to sex requests for grade in school.
